Night's edge gets upgraded later on (true night's edge, then Terra blade), and it's not all that useful in hard mode. You're better off reforging your accessories and primary weapon (hellwing bow, spinal tap with obsidian armor) to take on wall of flesh. They're cheaper to reforge than night's edge iirc, and way better at killing the boss.
